石英砂滤料是采用天然石英矿石，经破碎、水洗、筛选、酸洗、烘干、二次筛选而成的一种水处理滤料；常用的石英砂滤料主要有两种：一种是普通石英砂；另一种是精制酸洗砂。石英砂滤料具有：硬度大，抗腐蚀性好，密度大，机械强度高，截污能力强，使用周期长的特点，是化学水处理的理想材料。石英砂滤料起到过滤作用，就像水经过砂石渗透到地下一样，将水中的那些悬浮物阻拦下来，主要针对那些细微的悬浮物。
